An accounting device (DC) comprises: - a belt (T) equipped with a matrix of pressure sensors acquiring pressure measurements undergone, - an upper protective layer (CPS) placed above the belt (T), treatment means (MT) secured to the upper protective layer (CPS), deducing from the acquired measurements each passage of a person having walked on the upper protective layer (CPS) and the direction of movement of this person, and incrementing by one unit the current value of a counter associated with a direction of movement consecutive to each deduction of a passage in this direction of movement, - transmission means (ME) partially secured to the belt (T) and emitting a message containing the current value of the counter by means of waves, and - supply means (MA) supplying electrical energy to the pressure sensors, processing means (MT) and transmission means (ME).
