A method for the sensitivity analysis of an energy system designed by means of an optimization with respect to at least one parameter of the energy system is proposed, which comprises at least the following steps: - providing a solution for the optimization for a reference value of the parameter; - Providing a plurality of auxiliary conditions associated with the optimization; - Determining at least one active auxiliary condition and its associated normal vector; and determining a critical value of the parameter for which the objective function coefficient vector is parallel to the normal vector of the at least one active constraint. The invention further relates to a method for determining a design of an energy system, a computer system and a computer program product.
