To provide a communication system, a communication method, a terminal device, and a storage medium each for an intelligent drive automobile, for solving the problem of poor flexibility encountered when vehicle applications increase or decrease.SOLUTION: The communication system comprises an in-vehicle terminal and a plurality of application modules. The in-vehicle terminal comprises: an external communication module configured to communicate with another intelligent drive automobile or a server; and an internal communication module configured to communicate with an application module of the intelligent drive automobile. The plurality of application modules communicate with the internal communication module, and the plurality of application modules communicate with the internal communication module in a service communication mode while the external communication module communicates with other intelligent drive automobiles or the server in a message communication mode. Thus, it is possible to greatly improve the flexibility of application layer arrangement by a service communication mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
