To provide an austenitic stainless steel good in fatigue property.SOLUTION: An austenitic stainless steel contains C:0.08 to 0.15 mass%, Si:0.30 to 1.00 mass%, Mn:0.50 to 2.00 mass%, P:0.04 mass% or less, S:0.010 mass% or less, Ni:6.00 to 8.00 mass%, Cr:16.00 to 18.00 mass%, Cu:1.00 mass% or less, N:0.005 to 0.15 mass%, Ti:0.010 mass% or less, Al:0.010 mass% or less, Ca:0.005 mass% or less and O:35 to 80 ppm, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. The austenitic stainless steel has sheet thickness of 20 μm to 100 μm, average crystal particle number in a sheet thickness direction of 10 or more, an inclusion with equivalent circle diameter of 15 μm or more contained in a steel material of 0.1 g of 100/0.1 g or less and tensile strength of 1800 N/mmor more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
