To improve the prediction accuracy of traffic flow and the responsiveness of simulation.SOLUTION: A prediction system includes an arithmetic device that executes predetermined processing, and a storage device that can be accessed by the arithmetic device. The arithmetic device acquires real-time traffic volume data indicating a current traffic volume at a certain observation point and past traffic volume data indicating a past traffic volume on a route including the observation point, calculates an allocated traffic volume, which is the traffic volume for each route, from the past traffic volume data, calculates a coefficient that is a ratio of the traffic volume indicated by the real-time traffic volume data and the allocated traffic volume at the observation point, and corrects the past traffic volume data after the observation point by multiplying the calculated coefficient by the allocated traffic volume so as to generate corrected traffic volume data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
