Hybrid palette for image compression-DPCM coding

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize an image coding process by combining palette coding and DPCM coding. In a DPCM (Differential Pulse Code Modulation) codec, a hybrid palette-DPCM coding implementation creates a palette for the most major colors in an image block and an index block based on the palette. Further, DPCM coding is used for pixels that are not on the palette. The image coding process is optimized by combining palette coding and DPCM coding. [Selection diagram] Fig. 1
