To provide a metal organic framework that has high hygroscopic performance even under a low humidity condition, and a manufacturing method of such a metal organic framework.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a coordinatively unsaturated metal organic framework includes: providing a precursor metal organic framework having a metal cluster, and a polyvalent carboxylate ion and a monocarboxylic acid ion which are coordinated to the metal cluster; and allowing the precursor metal organic framework and metal salt having Lewis acid to coexist in solvent, and eliminating at least a part of the monocarboxylic acid ion coordinated to the metal cluster from the metal cluster, in which the coordinatively unsaturated metal organic framework includes a metal cluster of type MO(OH), and the polyvalent carboxylate ion as a polydentate ligand coordinated to the metal cluster, and a carboxylic acid ion containing the monocarboxylic acid ion as a monodentate ligand.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
