To provide a heater for heating type cigarette which has an opening/closing mechanism for an opening for cigarette insertion capable of smoothly and comfortably open/close the opening.SOLUTION: A heater for heating type cigarette comprises: a base 20 comprising an opening 21, a stationary side spring hook part 24, and a guide part; a lid member which is movable in a prescribed movement range along the guide part so as to open/close the opening 21 and has movable side spring hook parts 53a, b, c; and biasing members 60a, b, c whose first arm part 61 is fixed to the stationary side spring hook part 24 and second arm part 62a, b, c is coupled to the movable side spring hook part 53a, b, c. A direction of biasing force applied to the opening/closing member is varied between the opening direction and the closing direction with a position 53b where the distance between the movable side spring hook part 53a, b, c and the base side spring hook part 24 becomes minimum, in the prescribed movement range, as a boundary.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
