To provide artificial hip joint replacement appliances for performing artificial hip joint replacement more efficiently than before.SOLUTION: A canal finder according to the invention includes a tip part, an intermediate part, and a grip part that are connected via bent parts, where cut grooves are formed on the tip part, the intermediate part, and a bent part between the tip part and the intermediate part. A hip joint surgery retractor according to the invention comprises: a first frame including a rod-like member on which a gear groove is formed and a first arm member fixed to the rod-like member; a second frame including a movement member engaged with the gear groove of the first frame and a second arm member fixed to the movement member; and a pair of pawl members attached to respective tips of the first arm member and the second arm member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
