PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to detect defect blocks without separately providing detection processing of the defect block in a non-volatile memory management system having a memory characteristic in which writing and deletion cannot be simultaneously conducted like a flash memory.SOLUTION: A non-volatile memory management system has: a MPU that outputs a control signal and control data to a memory controller; and the memory controller that outputs the data and a writing command to a non-volatile memory to write the data. The non-volatile memory management system is configured to control the MPU so as to, when data writing is completed for each sector serving as a writing unit of the non-volatile memory, with respect to the memory controller, write a sector code of a next sector of the sector at a second word of the sector as header information, and write a sector code of a next sector of the sector at a first word of the next sector of the sector as the header information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
