PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for producing reconditioned sand that is operated without heat treatment, and to provide a method for producing casting sand.SOLUTION: A method for producing reconditioned sand conducts only machine work to a sand mold containing: a plurality of pieces of casting sand containing sand and a surface modification layer containing a coating resin curing material for coating the sand; and a binder resin curing material for bonding the plurality of pieces of casting sand mutually.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
