A method and system for self-destroying data based on non-volatile memory, the method comprising defining storage areas in a storage module, setting different storage periods, and storing data in the different storage areas within a specific storage period. The method includes: destroying or dynamically selecting a read/write method for each storage area, performing different read/write operations, and setting a self-destruction time by the user himself/herself. A memory controller, a storage area, and a storage data conversion center are provided, and a storage area analysis module and a storage mode control module are installed in the nonvolatile memory controller. The present invention realizes self-destruction of data for a predetermined period based on the physical property of a non-volatile memory by utilizing the physical properties specific to a process and a memory, thereby deteriorating the retention characteristic of the device to thereby achieve a predetermined period.
