PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a multi-car elevator device that traveling of a VIP assigned car might be retained due to a car preceding the VIP assigned car boarded by a VIP user.;SOLUTION: An overall controller 8 includes: a car assigning part 32 which assigns at least one car 1 located just before a VIP floor in a moving direction, or at a VIP floor, to a VIP assigned car; a VIP operation zone setting part 33 which sets multiple floors included in a moving direction of the VIP assigned car from the VIP floor, as a VIP operation zone; and a travel control part 34 which stops a VIP assigned car near the VIP floor, while a position of a car 1 being other than the VIP assigned car and traveling in the same moving direction as the VIP assigned car, is moved outside of the VIP operation zone, and causes the VIP assigned car to travel after the position of the car 1 is moved outside of the VIP operation zone.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3;COPYRIGHT: (C)2020,JPO&INPIT
