PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretch silky fabric that has flexibility adequate for clothing use and is excellent in silky touch texture, drape property and resilience.SOLUTION: A stretch silky fabric is made by arranging coated yarns, which are made by coating an elastic yarn as a core yarn with a crimped yarn as a sheath yarn, as warp and weft. Poorly alkali-soluble polymer is used for a core part and readily alkali-soluble polymer is used for a sheath part of a single yarn consisting the crimped yarn, and projection parts are formed on the surface of a core-sheath conjugate fiber by alkali reduction treatment. Total fineness of the crimped yarn is 1.2 to 6.0 times that of the elastic yarn. Expansion rate in warp direction is 15 to 30% and that in weft direction is 35 to 50% under a load of 9.8 N when the projection part is formed by the alkali reduction treatment on the surface of the crimped yarn.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
