The objective of the invention is to allow for a straightforward detection of whether or not the correct wire harness fixing clamp has been set on a tool, even when different types of wire harness fixing clamps have similar external shapes and sizes. A first wire harness fixing clamp setting tool has, formed therein, a setting recessed portion allowing a clamping part to be inserted from the forward end side thereof, and, provided within the setting recessed portion, a constraining protruding portion, which can be inserted into a groove formed in the clamping part. Provided on the bottom side of the setting recessed portion is a detection part for detecting the set state of the clamping part in the setting recessed portion.
