To improve determination accuracy of cell line maturity.SOLUTION: The method of determining cell maturity of the present invention comprises: determining the relationship between the maturity of cells contained in a standard colony and the area of the standard colony, based on the relationship between the area of the standard colony containing cells of the same type as the subject colony and the area per cell contained in the standard colony; calculating the area of a subject colony; and determining the maturity of cells contained in the subject colony, based on the calculated area of the subject colony and the relationship between the maturity of the cells contained in the standard colony and the area of the standard colony.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
