PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately change an existing RTL description in conformity with an age and society and obtain an optimum RTL description.SOLUTION: An RTL optimization system of the present invention comprises: control data flow analysis means 11 which, when an original RTL description 10 of a design object circuit is submitted, performs control data flow analysis and generates control data flow information; state analysis/removal means 12 for performing state analysis on the generated control data flow information that involves analyzing a type of operation in each state and removes a state, thereby generating revised control data flow information; behavior description generation means 13 for generating a high-level synthesizable behavior description on the basis of the revised control data flow information; and high-level synthesis means 14 for performing high-level synthesis on the basis of the behavior description to obtain an optimized RTL description.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
