PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hologram display device that displays a full-color three-dimensional stereoscopic image which can be displayed/appreciated by using a super-high resolution computer-generated hologram and a color filter, and a fabrication method thereof.SOLUTION: A hologram display device according to the present invention includes: a metal film on which interference fringes is formed; a color filter constituted by combining color filter segments of a plurality of colors; and a reference light source which illuminates the metal film and the color filter. Interference fringes of the metal film are formed corresponding to individual color filter segments constituting the color filter, and a guard gap which guards illuminated reference light is provided for interference fringes of the metal film which correspond to an area where color filter segments of different colors are adjacent to each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
