PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate a radioactive concentration with high precision even if radioactive waste stored in a square storage container has a density distribution and an even distribution.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a radioactive waste measuring apparatus which measures radioactivity of radioactive waste stored in a square type storage container, the radioactive waste measuring apparatus comprising: a storage pattern storage part which stores storage pattern data on the radioactive waste in the square type storage container; a density distribution calculation part which calculates a density distribution of the radioactive waste stored in the square type storage container based upon the storage pattern data and region division information; a spectrum calculation part which calculates a calculation spectrum as an energy spectrum of radiation generated from the radioactive waste by simulation by using the density distribution; a radiation measuring part which measures a measurement spectrum as an energy spectrum of the radiation generated from the radioactive waste stored in the square storage container; and an evaluation part which evaluates a radioactive concentration distribution of the radioactive waste using the calculation spectrum and measurement spectrum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
