The present invention prevents degradation of image quality and enhances computational precision when computing a virtual diffusion weighted image having an arbitrary b value using a diffusion weighted image obtained by capturing images using a plurality of b values. To achieve this purpose, pixel values of diffusion weighted images acquired using a plurality of (2 or more) b values are analyzed from each diffusion weighted image, whereby pixels (abnormality pixels) for which a diffusion coefficient has an abnormal value are extracted, and the abnormality pixels in the diffusion weighted images are corrected. A diffusion coefficient is computed using the corrected diffusion weighted images, and a diffusion weighted image having an arbitrary b value is calculated and displayed using the computed apparent diffusion coefficient.
