MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM, AND DIFFUSION-WEIGHTED IMAGE CALCULATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus and a diffusion-weighted image calculation method capable of preventing deterioration in an image quality and improving calculation accuracy when a virtual diffusion-weighted image of an arbitrary b value is calculated using diffusion-weighted images obtained by capturing images with a plurality of b values.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus analyzes an image value of each diffusion-weighted image from diffusion-weighted images acquired respectively using a plurality (two or more) of b values to extract a pixel (an abnormal pixel) whose diffusion coefficient becomes an abnormal value, and corrects the abnormal pixel in each diffusion-weighted image. The MRI apparatus calculates a diffusion coefficient using the respective corrected diffusion-weighted images and uses the calculated diffusion coefficient to calculate and display the diffusion-weighted image of an arbitrary b value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
