PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve improvement in accuracy of an estimated distance between a transmission station and a reception station by using attitude information of the reception station and the intensity of radio waves in the reception station.SOLUTION: The distance estimation system according to the present invention is provided with: radio wave intensity measurement means that measures the intensity of radio waves received via a reception antenna; antenna reception characteristic information storage means that stores antenna reception characteristic information indicating reception characteristics of the reception antenna; attitude estimation means that estimates the attitude information of the reception station; gain estimation means that estimates a gain of the reception antenna with respect to an arrival direction of each radio wave on the basis of the attitude information and the antenna reception characteristic information of the reception station; and distance estimation means that estimates a distance corresponding to attenuation of each of the radio waves, which is obtained on the basis of the gains of the antenna and the intensity of the radio waves.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
