To provide a method and an apparatus for predicting sales of a store or the like on the basis of power consumption.SOLUTION: A sales forecasting device includes: a data acquisition unit for acquiring power consumption information of a store from a power consumption measuring device, and acquiring store description information and store sales information from an external input; a learning unit for machine-learning the power consumption information, the store description information, and the store sales information; an input unit for acquiring power consumption information and store description information corresponding to a predetermined store from the external input; and a sales acquisition unit for inputting the power consumption information and the store description information corresponding to the predetermined store to the learning unit and acquiring the store sales information corresponding to the predetermined store from the learning unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
