PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the glossiness difference in a boundary between an application area and a non-application area of a post-treatment agent.SOLUTION: Control means 70 determines an application amount of a post-treatment agent to be applied to an image formed on a recording medium, determines the first glossiness being the glossiness of a non-image area when the post-treatment agent with the determined application amount is applied to the non-image area of the recording medium, compares the magnitude relation between a predetermined prescribed value and the glossiness difference between the determined first glossiness and the second glossiness being the glossiness of the non-image area of the recording medium before application of the post-treatment agent, and gradually changes the application amount of the post-treatment agent from the image area to the non-image area when the glossiness difference is larger than the prescribed value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
