To provide a surplus soil removing device which can easily remove surplus soil from the inside of drilling holes even if the drilling holes have small diameters and deep depths.SOLUTION: A surplus soil removing device 5 includes a sand pump 10 which sucks and discharges surplus soil 4 remaining at the bottom of a drilling hole 3 formed in the ground, and a storage tank 20 which is fixed to the sand pump 10 and guided into the drilling hole 3 together with the sand pump 10, and in which the surplus soil 4 sucked and discharged by the sand pump 10 is stored.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
