A hygroscopic liquid containing a hygroscopic substance is brought into contact with the first air to absorb the moisture contained in the first air into the hygroscopic liquid; and a regeneration process to separate the moisture from the hygroscopic liquid that has absorbed the moisture. In the regeneration step, the hygroscopic liquid that has absorbed water is stored, and at least a part of the stored hygroscopic liquid is irradiated with ultrasonic waves to generate atomized droplets from the hygroscopic liquid that has absorbed water. A humidity control method in which water is separated from a hygroscopic liquid by allowing and removing the moisture.
