To provide a manufacturing method of a metallic reduction reaction vessel capable of reducing an impurity metal concentration in titanium, in a manufacturing process of titanium.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a metallic reduction reaction vessel includes a rust layer formation step S11 for forming a rust layer containing an oxide of an element derived from the vessel on an inner surface by heating the metallic reduction reaction vessel, and a diffusion prevention layer formation step S21 for charging a raw material for a diffusion prevention layer formation containing titanium chloride and magnesium chloride into the metallic reduction reaction vessel having the rust layer formed thereon, then heating it under a reduced pressure, to thereby evaporate the raw material, and to form the diffusion prevention layer containing Ti on the inner surface of the metallic reduction reaction vessel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
