The oxide superconducting thin film material is composed of a metal substrate having a crystal orientation structure that is biaxially oriented on the surface, a biaxially oriented intermediate layer formed on the metal substrate, and a REBa2Cu3Oy formed on the intermediate layer. And an oxide superconducting thin film made of an RE123-based oxide superconductor represented by the formula (1). The oxide superconducting thin film contains Br (bromine).
