To further increase an effect of cognitive function improvement by the combination of cognitive function training and rest (rest state), and at the same time, suppress boredom or fatigue of a user to enable continuous cognitive function training, and thereby enable maintenance and improvement of the cognitive function.SOLUTION: A cognitive function training method is executed as follows: a computer makes a display unit display for making a user perform a predetermined cognitive function training to improve a brain function of the user; makes an operation unit accept the operation by the user when the user performs the cognitive function training; makes the display unit display to promote a rest state to the user after the completion of the cognitive function training; further, makes the display unit display for making the user perform the cognitive function training when the user is determined to be in the rest state; and makes the operation unit accept the operation by the user when the user performs the cognitive function training.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
