The present disclosure relates to a communication technique in which a 5G communication system for supporting more high data transmission rate after a 4G system converges with an IoT technology, and a system thereof. The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services (e.g., smart hole, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, healthcare, digital education, retail business, security and safety-related services) based on a 5G communication technology and an IoT-related technology.;The present disclosure provides a method for data scheduling of a base station in a mobile communication system supporting broadband transmission and reception, thereby supporting efficient use of radio resources. A method for communication of a terminal in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include receiving control information corresponding to a broadband transmission mode through a first bandwidth, and receiving downlink data having, as a maximum bandwidth, a bandwidth expanded as much as a second bandwidth from the first bandwidth, based on the control information.
