the present invention deals with the process of concentration and isolation of natural carboxylic acids having as innovation the development of a new ion exchange chromatography methodology that allows the separation of terpenic carboxylic acids in silica impregnated with koh and its concentration by ph refinement. among the innovations included are the use of silica directly impregnated with 10% koh ethanol solution, the use of only 02 (two) solvents, mainly hexane and methanol, and the sequential acidification, in zones of neutral and acid ph, a refinement that allows the concentration of carboxylic acids at each stage. the products obtained from the described process allow the isolation of acids in an optimized, inexpensive, less toxic way, allowing pre-purification of the same, which sometimes leads to isolation in a single step.
