refers to the present invention of a biotechnological process for the separation of light rare earth elements (sorvate) by the biosorption technique, at a temperature of 30 ºc and in an aqueous medium; using mycelial biomass of botryosphaeria species and its asexual form as adsorbent material. the process is carried out in three distinct stages, namely: (i) contact stage of the biosorbent material, composed of the inactive mycelial biomass of botryosphaeria rhodina with a solution containing rare earth elements, the sorvate; (ii) step of biosorption of the preferred rare-earth elements (sorbate) by the biosorbent material (adsorbent), (iii) step of separation of the biosorbent containing the rare earth element of interest and, (iv) step of recovery of the earth-element rare adsorbed (sorbate). according to the process now proposed, lanthanum (la) can be obtained with a high degree of recovery and high purities.
