The present invention describes a process for obtaining a microemulsion incorporated with the dichloromethane fraction of Libidibia ferrea (M), from a process with simple execution steps, where the dichloromethane fraction of Libidibia ferrea (5) used, is obtained from a partition liquid-liquid of the methanolic extract of this plant species, being then incorporated into the microemulsified base, consisting of: polysorbate (1), isopropyl alcohol (2), distilled water (4) and oleic acid (3). The microemulsion incorporated with the dichloromethane fraction of Libidibia ferrea (M) is topically applied with antileishmania activity, being able to minimize the adverse effects arising from the extensive application of the pentavalent antimonial drug, administered as a medication of first choice, and it can also be administered concurrently to her.
