non-woven fabric of açaí fiber (euterpe oleracea mart.) and its process of obtaining it. the present invention patent consists of a non-woven fabric of açaí fiber and its process of obtaining it. non-woven fabrics are of significant importance in the textile industry in brazil, being generally developed from synthetic fibers from fossil sources and resulting in non-biodegradable products. açaí fibers are part of the waste that is discarded after pulp processing in the food industry. the consumption of açaí pulp as an energetic and nutritious food has increased worldwide, and as a result, a large amount of waste is generated. to produce the blankets the fibers are treated in alkaline solution, after drying they are dispersed in a mold cavity. a binder based on cassava starch is prepared and placed on the fiber mat in order to completely wrap it. after drying, the blankets are placed in the laminator to reduce their thickness, and the non-woven fabric of açaí fiber is obtained, a completely biodegradable product obtained from renewable sources.
