The aid for teaching the reading of elevation line and area marks in cartography contains two map parts, which are of the same space, the same scale, the same cartographic content and are placed exactly on top of each other. The background map is 2D, contains a line elevation marker, the second map is a seemingly 3D map produced by lenticular technology, which contains an area marker. This seemingly 3D map is transparent and thus allows the student to perceive the relief of the 3D map at one moment and the relief of the 2D map at the same time in the view. The student then assigns a height from the 3D map to the 2D base.
