The present invention provides a biodegradable drug delivery composition comprising (i) a mixture of at least three different block copolymers, wherein each of the block copolymers is (a) a biodegradable triblock copolymer having the following formula: ABA, where A is polyester, B is polyethylene glycol, v and x are the number of repeating units in the range from 1 to 3000, and w is the number of repeating units in the range from 3 to 300, with v = x or vx; or (b) a biodegradable diblock copolymer having the following formula: CA, where A is a polyester, C is a polyethylene glycol with a terminal group, and y and z are the number of repeating units, with y = 2-250, az = 1-3000 and where this mixture contains at least one copolymer (a) and at least one copolymer (b) and the mass ratio between copolymers (a) and (b) is from 1:19 to 5: 1; and (ii) at least one pharmaceutically active ingredient.
