The invention relates to a sliding window device comprising a rectangular window frame to be installed in a window opening, in which window frame at least two window elements are arranged, wherein the window frame is formed by a surrounding profile which comprises a profile part on the bottom side, a profile part on the ceiling side and two lateral profile parts. The surrounding profile (2) is made of plastic and has at least two receptacles (24) arranged one next to the other in the cross section for receiving a respective window element (3, 4), which receptacles (24) are positioned on an arrangement of webs (25) that are parallel to one another, by means of which channels (26) extending orthogonally to the receptacles are formed that at least partially receive static elements (51), wherein a basic frame (5) is arranged on the bottom-side profile part (21), which basic frame has force application supports (52) that are directly or indirectly connected to the static elements (51) situated in the channels (26), such that they absorb the loads acting on the static elements (51) of the bottom-side profile part (21).
