The invention is a preparation for the prevention and treatment of exchange inflammation in dairy animals, in particular cows characterised by consisting of silver nanoparticles the size of particles below 10 nm and from 5 to 25% glycerol or from 10 to 30% DMSO or a mixture of glycerol and DMSO used in proportion 1:1 in quantities of 5 to 20%.
