The subject of the notification is optically active (-)-rel-(1R,6R,1'R)-1-(1'-iodoethyl)-9-oxabicyclo[4.3.0]nonan-8-one of the formula 2,which may be used in the pharmacopoeia as an anticancer compound. The notification also covers the optically active (-)-rel-(1R,6R,1'R)-1-(1'-iodoethyl)-9-oxabicyclo[4.3.0]nonan-8-one, which means that 1-formula ethylene-cyclohexyl(2)-(2'-ethylene-cyclohexyl)acetic acid undergoes a yodolactonisation reaction by receiving (-)-rel-(1R,6R, 1'R)-1-(1'-iodoethyl)-9-oxabicyclo[4.3.0]nonan-8-one with formula 2, which is then purified by a column chromatography method.
