The invention relates to a multifunctional unit for lighting and controlled disinfection of infection-prone enclosures. According to the invention, the multifunctional unit is made by integrating in a single structure three different types of light sources with LED modules which simultaneously emit electromagnetic radiations with different functions and spectra, as follows: a main source (7) with white light emission for optical comfort, a secondary source (8) with the role of photocatalytic excitation of certain compositions based on light-activated anti-microbiological agents and a tertiary source (9) which emits radiation for stimulating microbiological photoreceptors located on the membrane of the pathogens.
