The subject of the present invention is a compound chosen from synthetic polysulfated oligosaccharides having 1 to 4 ose units, their salts or their complexes, for its use for treating wounds generating pathological scars chosen from hypertrophic, retractable scars or even atrophic scars . This application is particularly preferred in subjects with a predisposition to the development of hypertrophic, retractile or atrophic scars. A subject of the invention is also, according to a second aspect, said compound for its use for inhibiting the differentiation of fibroblasts into myofibroblasts during the healing of wounds generating pathological scars chosen from hypertrophic, retractile or atrophic scars.
