A spark gap of an electric arc generating device for creating a seismic wave according to the invention comprises: - a first electrode (2) associated with a first electrode support (4), - an associated second electrode (6) to a second electrode support (8) and having, on the one hand, facing the first electrode (2) a concave surface (14) and, on the other hand, a diameter substantially greater than the diameter of the first electrode (2), and - at least one connecting arm (10) connecting the first electrode support (4) to the second electrode support (8). The invention also relates to an electric arc generating device comprising such a spark gap.
