Disclosed are a payment system based on ashared Funds-Management server, and a method, device andserver therefor, belonging to the field of e-commerce. Themethod comprises: Funds-Management server receivingpayment request information sent by a client; comparing the sumof a credit overdraft limit and a credit loan limit of the clientwith a payment amount to determine whether an electroniccommitment payment certificate can be created; if yes, theFunds-Management server respectively freezing the creditoverdraft limit and the credit loan limit within a client account,the credit overdraft limit and the credit loan limit correspondingto the payment amount; generating the electronic commitmentpayment certificate for the Funds-Management server to committo pay funds according to an agreed condition, and sending theelectronic commitment payment certificate to a merchant tomake a credit commitment payment on behalf of the client.Using the technical solution of the present invention to superviseboth parties in a transaction reduces financial risk, and ensuresthe interests of both parties in the transaction.
