Provided is a method for rapidly and efficiently obtaining a non-transgenic, gene-targeted mutated plant and a use thereof. The method includes creating a non-transgenic, gene-targeted mutated plant and gene editing to eliminate a transgenic construct. The steps are: a) introducing an exogenous nucleic acid molecule into a plant to be treated and carrying out a transgenesis process; b) step (a) comprises introducing a construct having a first nucleic acid molecule and a second nucleic acid molecule into the plant, in which the first nucleic acid molecule is a gene editing component, and the second nucleic acid molecule is a lethal or development-stopping component. The method can be used in a plant gene editing system such as CRISPR/CAS9 to actively and automatically eliminate transgenic fragments in plant, leaving enough time for the gene editing component to perform a targeted gene editing before removing the transgenic fragments, thus providing a simple and effective method for genetically editing a non-transgenic plant.
