A method and a device for annotation information determination and prefix tree construction. Said method comprises: acquiring a Pinyin abbreviation to be expanded (901); using a character at a first level in the Pinyin abbreviation to be expanded as a character to be expanded at the current level, and using all nodes at the first level in a preset prefix tree as candidate nodes to be expanded (902); selecting, from the candidate nodes to be expanded, the candidate node to be expanded, of which the value is the character to be expanded at the current level, as a current node to be expanded (903); determining whether all the characters in the Pinyin abbreviation to be expanded are matched (904); and if not, using the character at a next level as the character to be expanded at the current level, and using all the nodes at the next level, corresponding to the current node to be expanded, as the candidate nodes to be expanded (905). Said method can improve the query efficiency and reduce the labor costs when determining annotation information.
