Provided is a system for enabling messages to be exchanged with a conversation counterpart which exists in reality but with which direct communication is difficult. A message providing server analyzes information about a conversation counterpart, content of messages exchanged with a user, and the like so as to determine an appropriate message, and transmits same to the user. The counterpart with which a user exchanges messages is a virtual object, but a real conversation counterpart is projected thereon, and thus the rapport established with a virtual object can be linked to a real object.
