A method for preparing, from one or more dried traditional-Chinese-medicinematerialsin non-powder forms, instant traditional-Chinese-medicine dried powder fordecoction. Themethod has the steps of: adding one or more first edible excipients to the oneor more driedtraditional-Chinese-medicine materials; and grinding the mixture of the one ormore first edibleexcipients and the one or more dried traditional-Chinese-medicine materials topowder withsizes of a predefined range to obtain the instant traditional-Chinese-medicinedried powder. Inthis method, the one or more first edible excipients are added to the one ormore driedtraditional-Chinese-medicine materials before or during said grinding. Invarious embodiments,the edible excipients may be dextrin, glutinous-rice powder, rice powder, andstarch. The instanttraditional-Chinese-medicine dried powder may be packaged into sealed tea bagsor gauze bagsfor long-term storage up to five years and for convenient taking.
