A pouch filling machine, of the ultra-clean type or with aseptic chamber, is provided with a feeding head (44) of caps for the application to a flexible pouch with spout, comprising a cap passage (46) and snap-retaining means suitable for releasably retaining a cap ready for release. Said means comprise a pair of grippers (72, 74), wherein each gripper (72, 74) comprises an end portion (72a, 72b) protruding from the outlet port (50) of the cap passage (46) and consists of a sheet having at least one flexible portion adapted to bend due to the advancement of the cap ready for release.
