A motor base for a vacuum cleaner having a self-cleaning HEPA filter, comprising: a left motor chamber (131) and a right motor chamber (132) disposed one adjacent to the other and each set apart from the other; a left air guiding channel (1312) in communication with the left motor chamber (131); and a right air guiding channel (1322) in communication with the right motor chamber (132). The left air guiding channel (1312) is disposed at a certain angle with respect to the right air guiding channel (1322), such that the left air guiding channel (1312) and the right air guiding channel (1322) converge and communicate with each other at the respective end portions thereof. The present invention improves compactness, reduces structural volume and complexity, and further optimizes the two air channels to reduce air flow loss during air channel switching and to reduce noise during vacuum cleaner operation, increasing HEPA filter cleaning efficiency and service life.
