System and method for identifying, feeding and handling animals, in particular dairy cattle

In pasture-based milk-production systems, it is a complex task to balance the individual diets of the animals through feeding in the milking room, especially in hormone-free herds to synchronise oestrus, or in organic herds where it is necessary to supply a broad range of food and nutritional supplements. The proposed invention inexpensively solves the secure supply of said broad range of food and supplements, by optimising ISO 11784-85 RFID identification, measuring the food not consumed by each specific animal and adequate handling of the animals.
